Linen trousers are so easy to style. Whether you dress them up or down, linen trousers can be worn for many types of occasions. You can buy linen trousers in a variety of either minimalistic or bold colours these days. The most common shades on the market are neutral, black or white. As these colours, in particular, are neutral shades, they make them easier to style and are very versatile. A definite must-have item for any Spring/Summer wardrobe.
In terms of sizing, I’ve found it difficult to find linen trousers that fit me perfectly. It’s usually fine around the waist, but it’s the length that is the biggest issue when buying linen trousers. Being just under 5’4, I’m on the cusp of being petite. It’s annoying sometimes, but it’s only a matter of having the hem taken up, which is easily done. Well, I’ll take them to a clothes alteration place. I’m no sewer by any means.
Anyway, as I said, linen trousers can be styled in many outfits. The linen trousers I’ll be styling in these photos are a beige/neutral colour. But these outfits can work with either black or white linen too.
Here are some outfit ideas for linen trousers:
Outfit 1:
A pretty casual outfit, but this can be worn for work too. Just swap the trainers with some mules or loafers. I styled this with a white shirt, white trainers and my black Furla bag. This outfit can be worn for a brunch date/coffee date. Or for work if you ditch the trainers for more formal shoes. You could swap the shirt for a white t-shirt/crop top should you wish.
Outfit 2:
I really like this look. As you can see, I’ve swapped the white shirt for a black racer-back crop top and changed the white trainers for black gold chain sliders. I see this look as the perfect airport look. I should say that these linen trousers I’m wearing in these photos are from ASOS (*similar here) and are very comfortable. It’s very breathable linen which makes it easier to wear in warmer weather. You can also wear a white top/white or neutral sandals with this look too. I’ve added my Furla bag and gold jewellery with this look.
Outfit 3:
Now I know this outfit is similar to this first outfit, but I would definitely this is more of a casual everyday look. A vest top can make any outfit look a little more casual, which is what I love about this look. Again, I’ve accessorised the look with my Furla bag and gold jewellery pieces.
Outfit 4:
If you’re looking for a way to wear linen trousers for an ‘out-out’ night, this is the one for you. Now, with this bodysuit, I know this wouldn’t be for everyone. If wearing lace is not for you, you could wear a silk blouse or a cami. I’ve paired it with a pair of white-heeled sandals. Again, you can pair it with shoes that you feel most comfortable in on a night out.
